Honor, liberty, and justice

If you are facing a criminal charge in Southern Oregon or Eastern Oregon, the next decisions matter. A conviction can follow you into work, housing, and family life. You deserve a clear explanation of your options, an honest look at the risks, and a defense that is built around the facts as they actually appear, not around the story either side wishes were true.
I'm Brandon Foy, a former prosecutor practicing criminal defense and expungement. I started at the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office as a law-school intern, returned as a volunteer prosecutor after I passed the bar, and began my career as a Umatilla County Deputy District Attorney. I also prosecuted for the cities of Pendleton and Hermiston. That background helps me anticipate how the State will frame a case, and it keeps me focused on what can be proved.
My goal is the best possible outcome in every case. That may be a dismissal, a reduction, or another resolution that protects your future. Just as important, I want you to leave with a realistic understanding of the situation and a path forward that reduces the chance you will ever sit in a criminal courtroom again.
That means straight talk. I will tell you the worst-case scenario, the real risks, and the arguments the prosecutor is likely to make. A true advocate can argue both sides. Some lawyers can only see one. That is not advocacy. I will not sugarcoat the case so you can decide based on feelings or pride. I will help you decide based on reality.
I enlisted in the Air Force in 2003 and retired as a Master Sergeant from the Oregon Air National Guard in 2024. Along the way I fueled almost every type of USAF aircraft in the United States and abroad, and drafted a ridiculous amount of legal documents for service members and their families. More than anything, I learned that there are countless ways to serve my country, my state, and my community. I am excited for this next chapter, and to bring those lessons into both my personal life and this practice.
